Hi Friends, I will tell you how to add your Google Custom search on your website in a simple way. It shows your website results only. When anyone search on this it shows your website results which is indexed by google. Any Visitor can see your pages after using this tool.

For this. Google is giving us a tool . With this tool you can easily add the custom google search on your website. This tool provides a few lines of code and after adding that code your custom search will work effectively.

Important Note: Before using this tool check your website is indexed by google or not. If it is not indexed then use the google webmaster fetch tool for indexing or submit your website sitemap.

For adding google custom search. Follow the below Steps.

Steps1: Open the url https://cse.google.co.in/cse/ and sign in using your gmail account.

Step2: Click on the New Search Engine on the left hand side.

Fill some information as like below in the image.

Sites to search: In this enter the url of your website.

Language: Choose the language for your website.

Name of the search engine: Enter the name of your website.

You can restrict some pages using Advanced Options.

Step3: Congratulations your website code is created.

RECEIVE GOOGLE CUSTOM SEARCH ENGINE CODE

Step4: Click on Receive code.

Step5: After Getting the code add between the <div>Your Google Custom Search Code</div>

ADD CODE OF GOOGLE CUSTOM SEARCH ENGINE ON YOUR WEBSITE

Step6: Now you can check your website page. It is showing Google custom search.

you can also change the look and feel, add adsense or many other things using this.

 

Error in showing search icon

GOOGLE CUSTOM SEARCH ICON IS NOT SHOWING

If your search icon is not showing then apply the below css on your stylesheet.

.cse .gsc-search-button input.gsc-search-button-v2, input.gsc-search-button-v2  {     border-color: #666666;

background-color: #CECECE;

background-image: none;

filter: none;

width: auto !important;

height: auto !important; }

Now Your Website has a own google custom search which is showing only your website results.
